I met her on a summer's day
The trap was set, the plan put in play
The mage lured them into our reception
She fought with fury as she realised the deception
I could not hold against her might
And soon enough, she had won the fight
"What to do with you," she pondered
"Let me join you," I responded
Her companions shouted a resounding "NO!"
But the look in her eyes said it would be so
She asked for my name as she looked in my eyes
I told her my name was Zevran Arainai
We worked together against the Blight
And then I asked her at camp one night
"Care for a massage I learned in Antiva?"
Little did she know how I would deceive her
We spent that night together in her tent
I will never forget her smile or her scent
I should have known it then that she loved me
But I could never have known that we would marry
So here I am, two years since then
Standing here waiting for Yllwenn
She's walking towards me, down the aisle
She looks up and sees me; on her face is a smile

Obsession
Their breaths mingled as he looked down at her, awe in his eyes as he ran his fingers through her hair. Somehow, for some reason, the Maker had blessed him mightily. She was his. More importantly, he was hers. She was the one who had changed him from an untried schoolboy into a man. Rhiamon was the first woman he'd been with, and the only woman he'd ever loved.
Loved.
The word should have sent panic racing through his being, yet with her it seemed right. Peace stole over him as he watched the woman beside him. Rolling off of her, he lay back against the grass and pulled her up against his side.
Thoughts crowded his mind. He wanted

Zevran ponders the meaning of love as he finally starts understanding just how love works.

What is this word that my Grey Warden seems able to use at almost anything of pleasure?
This word that seemingly can be as weak as an infant or as strong as the mightiest of dragons?
Love.
What is that?
My Grey Warden uses it for many things.
Claims of loving the forest, loving the rain. The times spent outside together, breathing the air (even as heavily scented by the smell of wet dog as it is) and wandering the forest, just talking and indulging in activities of love.

Simple Gifts
Nara Mahariel was freezing her ass off.
Wearing her Wade-Wear pea coat had seemed like a brilliant idea that morning, but the windless, clear day had given way to a breezy, snow-filled evening. Fortunately her car was parked only four blocks away from the office and since the snow hadn't been falling for long she could probably still drive home.
It was Yulemas Eve and despite the holiday, Nara had elected to go into work. Politics never slept, and this was especially true for the Dalish embassy. On Tuesday the Landsmeet would hold hearings on the current state of elven equality; an upcoming trade negotiation with Kal'Hirol was schedul
